Un Certain regard
Not so long ago, a small brass band from the Egyptian police is invited to Israel for the inauguration of an Arab cultural center. However, due to a slow bureaucratic system or bad luck, or whatever combination of circumstances, nobody comes to meet them at the airport.
They try to manage on their own, with broken English, and finally land in a remote town, lost in the middle of the Israeli desert. A brass band is lost in a remote town. Two communities have to live together. Very few people remember, this seems to be an insignificant story.
Great Israeli actress cum director Ronit Elkabetz, who expired in 2016, plays the part of Dina, the woman orchestrating this unlikely encounter.
