Mona, who is Lebanese, is suspected by the Hezbollah of being an informer for the Israeli secret services. Afraid that she would be uncovered, the Mossad move her away to safety in Germany where she undergoes plastic surgery to change her appearance. For two weeks, while she is recovering from her operation, she is hidden in a Hamburg flat. Naomi, a Mossad agent, is responsible for keeping her company and protecting her. But the Hezbollah is looking for Mona and the hideout proves not as safe as was thought....
“These two women swing constantly from trust to distrust, from honesty to deception, from loyalty to betrayal... As in my other films, I have tried to represent, understand, examine and put myself face to face, in a new light, with the realities of the Middle East. This time, I wanted to make a film of suspense, a thriller with a plot dealing with private life in the confines of a hideout, a place where my heroines had found refuge... Except that you can never be sure of anything. No one is ever safe. No one is ever out of harm’s way.” Eran Riklis
