Sudabeh Mortezai

Sudabeh Mortezai was born in 1968 in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Of Iranian origin, she grew up between Tehran and Vienna. After studying cinema and theater at the University of Vienna from which she graduated in 1994, she is a student at the University of California in Los Angeles. She made short films and then her first documentary film Les Enfants du prophet. In 2007, she co-founded the production company Freibeuter Films. Macondo is his first fiction feature film.
