In the remote state of Manipur, in the North-East of India, a middle class family leads a peaceful and harmonious life. One day, the young woman seems possessed by the spirit of Maibi goddess. Her visions push her to leave her husband, her young daughter and her mother-in-law, and respond to the call she deeply feels.
With sharpness and sensibility, film maker and music composer Aribam Syam Sharma, pioneer of independent auteur cinema in Manipur, observes the religious manifestations in a contemporary Indian society from a region with ancestral traditions, still largely unknown.
