Seventy seven-year-old Ernst Akramov is a living legend of medicine in Kirghizstan. He dedicated 56 years of his life to surgery. He sacrificed his personal life for his vocation. When others would have chosen glory and money, Akramov was rewarded by the recovery of his patients. He chose to live in a small room of his hospital in order to pay full attention to them.
