An unemployed actor looking for meaning in his life finds himself in a train going from Haifa to Tel Aviv in the company of two small-scale con men and a femme fatale who are hatching a plot against a press tycoon. Eddie is so fantastically impassioned with the mysterious lady, that he get mixed up in an indistinct crime story, which goes beyond all reality.
The film “Eddie King” is considered one of Israeli cinema’s most important Avant-guard films.
Eddie King got good reviews from the critics and received the bronze Leopard Award at the Locarno film festival in 1992. It is the second time Ronit Elkabetz makes a cinema appearance in this film which has only just been restored and has never been distributed in France.
