A gloomy procession of men carrying old furniture takes place in an old area of a Georgian small city. A girl and her lover try to meet and avoid each other in the streets filled by the removal men. They settle in a brand new building gradually getting occupied. Everything seems to smile on them. However, they will be seized with greediness.
Inspired by Jacques Tati’s comedies, this silent movie is a caricature of progress. The characters turned into ludicrous puppets denounce a superficial society, mostly attached to appearances.
