From 1975 to 1990, the civil war has divided Lebanon. Peace was declared after the death toll of 150 000 people. Danièle Arbid retraces this conflict concealed by the world. She starts with the evocation of the war through the testimonies of former members of the milice. They once participated in the conflict and today they live with their memories of the past. These misfits are more mixed up than dangerous and most of them fantasize about war.
At the risk of personal exposure and private memories, Danièle Arbid proceeds with her search for a sign, a commemorative plaque, a statue. She goes all over town, questions the inhabitants and even calls out to a minister to find out.
