Comédie humaine in Tokyo inspired by Balzac’s Comédie Humaine covers ordinary daily lives. as the three episodes unfold, the characters realise at certain moments that in reality they are suffering from solitude.
White Cat : Two women wander around the town one rainy night, chasing after their favourite contemporary dancer to get his autograph. Photographer : The day her exhibition is inaugurated, a young amateur photographer discovers that friendship can be deeply disappointing. This episode concentrates on the nature of art in modern Japan and questions what defines the identity of “artists”.
Right arm : A patient is suffering from the phantom limb syndrome. As the story unfolds, the gap between the husband, who has lost his right arm in an accident, and his wife widens and their solitude rises to the surface.
