A feast is being prepared to celebrate the return of the patriarch. He has just gone out of jail where he served a sentence for a hit-and-run offence. Through his prison time, his wife and his son Raphael have kept the family and company alive, and hosted the wife and children of the victim of the accident. But as the celebration day is about to come, the fragile peace between the victim’s family and the driver is unsettled by guilt and sorrow. “APAG (Feast) means the dining table. In the dining room, the family table becomes a paramount unifying symbol. First of all, it's the place where the family sets the food - symbol of their work of love - to give and exchange it as a token of their gratitude and empathy. But when the family is having a meal, ironically, secrets are kept from one another. This accident that has changed the life of these two families forever has led to a shared pain. It's through the pain that the two families unite and that the exchange of repentance and acceptance is put on the table. This is where we see the bravest decision that man can take, which is to forgive.” B. Mendoza
