Abu has only one desire for his daughter Leila’s birthday: go back home early for once and spend the evening with his family. But this is really difficult for this former judge who returned from Palestine with the firm intention to help for the rebuilding of his country and who had to switch to a new employment as taxi driver. Confronted with the irrational and unorganized Palestinian society, our judge will have a go a long and difficult way, a true obstacle course, before he finally finds his house.
“After more than half a century of Israeli occupation, we resisted for freedom and negotiated for peace hoping to progress, but we have only gone backwards. Finally, there is a lot of frustration, negligence and incapacity to deal with small details of our precious lives”. Rashid Masharawi.
This urban road-movie which is not lacking in humor, takes us in the labyrinth of the complex Israeli-Palestinian society.
