It is summertime in Mongolia. A family of nomads are helping the shecamels of their herd to give birth. One of the she-camels faces difficulties. Once her cub is born, she turns away from him and refuses to feed him. According to the tradition, a violinist should come and play to move the she-camel and make her reconciled with her baby...
No one can grow without love, this is the message of the film which, beyond the story of a she-camel and her cub, takes us into the daily life of nomads in Mongolia. Immensity of the desert, aridity of the climate, harshness of daily life, such are the difficult conditions which the four generations of the family must overcome. They live in harmony and share all the work, from the youngest to the eldest of the family, in order to secure the well being of their camels, their only wealth. In communion with nature, they live a simple harsh but loving life.
