“July 2006. A war starts in Lebanon. It is a new war, not another one, a war breaking hope for peace and stopping the momentum of our generation, of the people in their thirties. We do not know what to write, what stories to tell, what images to show. We wonder: 'what can cinema do?" This is the question we decide to really ask, with the help of an 'icon', an actress who for us is an emblem of cinema: Catherine Deneuve. She will come to Beirut and meet our favourite actor: Rahib Mroué. Together, they will travel through the places affected by the conflict.
