Milad Alami was born in 1982 in Tehran. He grew up in Sweden and now lives in Denmark. He graduated from the Danish National Film School. His short films have been selected for various festivals and notably for the Directors' Fortnight in Cannes, New York, Clermont Ferrand and Karlovy Vary. The Charmer is his first feature film.
