Diana Ashimova is a festival programmer, artistic director, member of NETPAC, film producer. With a master's degree in filmmaking, she was responsible for the programming of the Eurasia International Film Festival for nine years and directed several international film festivals in Kazakhstan and abroad. For seven years she worked as an international consultant for Kazakhfilm JSC. Since 2011, she has been the artistic director of Bastau International student and debut film festival. In 2017, she founded a film company A Team. Since 2021, she has been a lecturer at the Turan Film Academy.
