André Kadi, French comic book author, musician, screenwriter, moved to Quebec in 2007. He joined the Frima studio then co-founded the Du Coup Animation studio in 2018 with M.M. Laflamme then Du Coup Production in 2021. Dounia et la princesse d'Alep is their first feature film.
