After an environmental disaster, the earth is split in two opposite worlds unaware of the other one existence. In the world below ground, fourteen-year-old Patema is a young playful adventurous girl dreaming of a world elsewhere. I realized that through a simple shift of point of view- by inverting the worlds- I could depict a universal truth in human relationships: the impossibility for some people to look at the world in the same way due to their feelings or the singularity of their point of view”.
