In a remote village from Tajikistan, an old woman is obsessed with only one thing: to be buried in the village old cemetery Her neighbor is an old widow living alone with her dog and waiting for her only son, who left for Dushanbe to fulfill his dream and become an actor. He comes back to see his mother and to do maintenance work in her flat. They are very fond of each other. He leaves for the capital. One day, he gets a telegram. He must come back to his native place at soonest. Planes cannot take off due to bad weather; he starts his journey in a taxi with several other passengers.
The film is about human loneliness. We sometimes build a comfortable world for ourselves by overcoming obstacles and destructing something. Later, after some time, we realize that we are alone in the world we built. But there is no way back, and while losing a beloved person, we also lose the whole word. "Never get such telegrams!"
