In Gokarna, a sacred village in South India with its temples and pilgrims, Sri G M Vesdeshwar is an old charismatic Brahman who for years has been endeavoring to collect literary books from all over the world. A true understanding and knowledge is all that matters for him. By dint of self-abnegation and conviction, he succeeded to build up one of the most important library in Karnataka, with more than 70000 books. He has a unique collection of 800 years old Sanskrit palm leaves books. Today his efforts are rewarded with the construction of a cultural center in tribute to him, thanks to the Pandrata Circle Association and the two persons in charge of it: Elias Tabet and Daphné Piquet.
