Twelve-year-old Pakis lost her father when he went fishing in the sea. A mirror her father gave her is the only hope for Pakis to meet him again. With a Bajo ritual using mirror and water, she keeps on waiting to see her father’s reflection which never appears. Changes keep happening in her village, Kampung Bajo. The situation in the sea which is getting more dangerous makes her nervous in her sleep. Big waves, storm, unpredictable tides creates her fear of the sea and her house cannot come back like the way it was. Mirror never lies. Pakis always believes that. Especially every time Pakis’s mother (32) breaks her hope with reality. However, even her mother lied to her about the reality, like she lied to herself. Denial appears when she realizes her husband will not be coming home and starts to cover her whole face with powder. Together with her bestfriend Lumo (12), Pakis keeps searching for answers from Wakatobi sea. Until one day Tudo came into their lives. A story about hope, losing, searching, and a mirror which reflects every faces of it...
