Harumi is a business woman living alone with her husband after their only daughter married two years ago. Michiyo is killed by her husband Koji. He is sentenced to death. Harumi believes it is a fair sentence, but she gradually starts wondering how she could possibly stop the capital punishment. Although her husband and family are totally against her, she tries to halt the procedure with the help of Koji’s lawyer. Harumi is the only one to know the secret Michiyo took away with her, but she will not tell anyone.
