Paint! no Matter What is the intimate portrait of modern Iranian painter Khosrow Hassanzadeh who also works as a grocer in a fruit market in Tehran. The film shows Khosrow's family life, his interactions with his customers and his memories of the eight-year war with Irak. Khorow's family objection to his art makes him seek refuge at the grocery store at nights when he paints in solitude among the apples and oranges, melons and cucumbers. Khosrow's customers at his grocery include families of martyrs, Afghan refugees...They are also the primary source of inspiration for his paintings which mainly revolve around women and the war. His last series of paintings, War Diaries, are inspired by the memories of the war, martyrdom of his friends and his escape from death.
