We are in Alma Alta today, in Kazakhstan. Aïja is a former principal dancer who is now a 45 years old dance teacher in the Opera. She lives comfortably and seems to have a peaceful life. Her daughter who used to stay at home, is now on her own. Her quiet existence is suddenly shattered the day she meets Adik, a 25 years old drunkard who tries to rape her. This is the beginning of a strange passion between this mature woman and this young dropout. Adik has madly fallen in love and follows her everywhere, obsessed by her. Aïjan endeavours to discourage this young man who could be her own son. A weird relationship develops between the two of them who are so different, a relationship made of attraction and repulsion at the same time. A violent, discreet and beautiful love story...
