In Vietnam, the Dao Mau temples are the only places where homosexuals can express in a highly homophobic country. In these temples which curiously are visited both by men and women, they can express their femininity and their sexuality. Flashy altars, richly colored clothes, ornaments, feathers and glitters, incense and not to forget alcohol and cigarettes, such as the souvenirs of a dance in honor of Mother Goddess Dao Mau. The priestesses of this religion are the Dong Co, gay mediums between the feminine spirits and the Mother Goddess. The documentary sets out to show this community of Ai nam ai nu (love man, love woman), an expression used to talk of homosexuals in Vietnam who share the same culture and the same rites.
