“One day I find myself losing hair. Ever since that day, I started to wonder could this be genetic? I remember the furtive family story which my mother told me some time ago. The story about my father who I thought have passed away long time ago is actually still living not far away from my hometown. With this physical change of losing hair, it brought my memory of my father back. Now I start to go around my home town, getting much information about my father as possible from people. Korea has always put on great importance on the traditional patriarchal family system. The father is the centre of the family and is the symbol for authority and power. Therefore, to continue the family generation, there had to be a son in the family. I want to enforce the true value of a family (What's the true value of a family ?).”
