The young hero of the film has no legal existence. He has no name, no papers and ignores his age. At the time of the Iran-Iraq war, his father fearing to be forcibly recruited by the army did not declare his birth. This now drug addict father tries to get him papers. Indeed, how to possibly go to school or get casual jobs without papers? We follow this boy in the streets of Teheran and witness his determi ned search for identity.
"The insecurity of a child with regard to his life, wherever it may be, makes me very sad. I think one should always try to help other people, whatever our social position might be. I too try to help other people and remain faithful to my ideals. The problems faced by children touch me even more as they are innocent and fragile and need more help." Abolfazl Jalili
