Christian and Marie-France des Pallières leave for Cambodia with an assignment of primary school assistance. 25 years of war have bled the country dry. Once they reach the place, they are shattered by the daily life of emaciated rag-and-bone children who search the capital's garbage. Hundreds of children in tatters, covered with horrible dirt and infected wounds, rummage with bare hands and feet through revolting trash.
"Once you've seen this", says Christian, "you cannot quietly go back home and carry on living as though nothing happened. You feel like crying or shouting." They chose to shout, to cry for these children of Pnom Penh garbage dump. This film is their cry, but it is also a magnificent hymn to hope and joy!
