Nour was born in Beirut, a town she left when she was quite young. She returned there in the autumn of 1996 to deal with some administrative business and find a photographer called Samir, who took photos of her family home before the war. A house which is no longer standing.
The theme of the past, which is brought to life here where minute attention to detail is focused on places, is already at the heart of the film narrative and the work of the film maker. Raddem is her first short-length film.
