In the daily routine of a rural village, against the rhythmic background of changing seasons, an old indigenous couple talk about their strange wedding with their granddaughter and sometimes mention it between themselves.
“Making this film made me look back on the past in both a bitter and a hopeful fashion. Even if I was born ten years after the genocide perpetrated by the Khmer Rouge (1975-1979), I have never felt disconnected from this painful episode of our past since I have always been indirectly linked to the tragedy by listening to the accounts related by my family and other people. I therefore decided to tell this story of our family, as a link between the old and the new generations.” Polen Ly
