Polen Ly decided not to go further in his medecine studies, in 2012, to become cinema director. Il realized some short films and documentaries which explores social questions dealing with environment and human rights. Polen Ly is now preparing his first long documentary film, The Tongue of Water, helped by the IDFA (Netherlands), DMZ Docs (South Korea) and the Sundance Institute (USA).
