Three women living in three different sets of circumstances in Iran : a young homeless girl, a human rights lawyer and a gynaecologist. Golbahar, a sixteen-year-old teenager has worked as a surrogate mother for money since she was eleven. The story begins when she is sold to a middle-aged man to have a baby for him. After a month, she has still not become pregnant and her pimp threatens to kill her. She has medical tests done and, to her surprise, discovers that her Fallopian tubes have been tied. Golbahar didn't know she had had this sort of operation. She suspects the operation was performed when she was in hospital for an accident she had some time before. A social worker introduces her to a female lawyer. She thinks that Golbahar's situation is the result of an unofficial national plan to euthanize the homeless in Iran in order to control their rising population. Her investigation leads her to the find the gynaecologist who was responsible and who denies any involvement.
As in other films by Reza Dormishian, it's up to the viewer to decide who is right: the lawyer or the doctor who see the problems from dif ferent perspectives.
