Jayaraj R

Jayaraj R was born in 1960 in Kottayam, Kerala. He is the assistant to director Bharathan on seven films. In 1990 he shot his first feature film Vidhyarambham. He has directed nearly 50 films and won awards at several festivals: Crystal Bear in Berlin, Golden Peacock at the IFF of India in Goa, Grand Coucal d'or at the IFF of Kerala in Trivandrum, prize FIPRESCI, NETPAC Prize... In 2010, he created the Jaryaraj Foundation for the conservation of nature and the well-being of populations.
