Sophia Tabatadzé was born in Tbilissi, Georgia, in 1977. A visual artist, she completed her bachelor degree at Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. She participated in numerous International shows. In 2007, she represented Georgia at Venice biennale as well as showed her work at Istanbul Biennale the same year. Her work mainly consists of multimedia installations. Tabatadze made three art videos from 2004-2006 and short film Gulo in 2011 in collaboration with three other authors.
Pirimze is her debut feature.
