Babak Payami was born in Iran in 1966. He grew up in Afghanistan and Canada. Returning in Iran in 1998, he founds Payam Film Institute and writes, produces and directs three long features until 2003, amidst them his debut feature One More Day. Since then, heworks outside Iran.
