Ming is a mole in Hong Kong police who got established there by the good offices of the Triad boss. Yan is a policeman who infiltrated the Triad ten years ago. His police record got heavier over the last years to show his success. It is a perfect symmetry of situations and men: Ming and Yan are equally tired of the roles their mutual bosses make them play in the shadow. Ming dreams of becoming a real policeman. Yan is tired of killing in the name of justice and would like to retire.
One day, during an operation aiming at dismantling a trafficking, Ming finds out that a mole is in the Triad.
Andrew Lau and Alan Mak‘s film “Infernal Affairs” is a thrilling detective story with two leading actors Andy Lau and Tony Leung Chiuwai.
This film is the first part of a trilogy; Martin Scorsese made a remake of it in 2006 with “The Departed”.
A marvel of detective film!
