The film is a journey on the traces of war through Vietnam today. It records memories of former Vietnamese fighters ( former soldiers from North Vietnam and 'vietcong' resistance fighters), enters their home and goes back on the sites of the war with them.
The nostalgic tone of the film is not for communism, but for this chapter of history that now belongs to past, for the fights and struggles of the youth, for the gone by heroic times which have often left a bitter taste.
