The inhabitants of a village in the mountains are weary of their difficult life. The last ordeal they have to get over is the discovery of a man's corpse by a young shepherd. Who is this man nobody seems to know ? How and where to bury him ? Or should one even do so? Through this exceptional event and the various reactions it arises, one can notice the diversity of the villagers' attitudes, their mentality and the weight of traditions.
In her rare film, the director tackles the taboo of death and the religious proscription linked to it.
