After completing his military service, Chun-sheng comes back to meet his father. He steals money to go to Taipei, and once there, confronts his loneliness from a hotel to another one, from a girl to another one, dreaming of becoming a great saxophonist. Since his youth, he has been attracted by his elder sister, but this is a secret, a feeling he keeps for himself. His sister also loves Chun-sheng. Insensible to her husband, she dreams, remembering her passion for her former lover Haï, reflecting upon her unhappy marriage and her attraction for her younger brother.
"I have put autobiographical elements in my films, not in order to identify the characters, but in order to allow the audience to be moved by feelings they may have had about life." Lin Cheng-sheng
This is a story of love, of desire…of a taboo love relationship between a brother and a sister.
