Goshu is a shy music student who dreams to rank with the master he looks up to: Ludwig van Beethoven. He lacks musical experience but, above all, he lacks self-confidence. The conductor often blames him and his colleagues make fun of him. He decides to self-train at night. Unfortunately, he is not rewarded for his efforts, his improvement is quite slow. He gets the visit of small animals such as a cat, a cuckoo, a badger and a field mouse. They encourage him and teach him patience, strictness and how to appreciate communication. Now reassured, Goshu feels ready to face an audience.
