Lee Hsing was born in 1930 in Shanghai. He made one of the first Taiwanese popular films at the end of 1959, Wang and Liu Tour Taiwan although he does not speak Taiwanese. He is also the main director to promote the realistic film healthy and the romantic literary film. He receives three times the prize for best director at the Golden Horse Awards and seven of his films are rewarded with the Prize for the best feature film. He contributes to making Taiwanese cinema known. He died in 2021.
