Shahrbanoo Sadat was born in 1990 in Tehran. In her teenage years, she goes back in her native town in Afghanistan. She decided to follow school lessons available only for boys. At 18 years old, she decided to live in Kabul where she studied cinema and directing at Varan's Workshop. Her first short fiction film Vive Versa One is selected at the Director's Fortnight in 2011. In 2013, she set up her own production company, Wolf Pictures, in Kabul.
