Fatih Akin was born into a Turkish family in Hamburg in 1973. He studies audiovisual communication at the Fine Arts school and is noticed in 1995 for his first short film Sensin... You’re the One!. His debut feature-length film Short Sharl Shock gets 9 awards. He works as script writer, director, producer and at times as actor.
